The Stables

camden market

In all my recent trips to London,
Camden, has conspired to allure me every single time.

It's unruly and frantic streets,
stables, turned into market stalls,
old brick walls, filled densely,
with endless fabrics and colourful signage.
Some handmade, some individually carved.

Its vintage tones and worn out doors.
It's silent corners, that play raucously on night fall,
its beautifully vibrant, creative, eclectic crowd.

There's a part of me that says
I will see another of London's parts next time,
but as the dust settles, I remember,
there's a corner of Camden I have yet to see.

Happy Friday dear friends!
And I certainly hope, trips have been planed,
for the sun promises to brighten up the way.

Paris kind of red

February already?
Its sneaked in so swiftly...
It feels softer already
and all this beautiful light...
That perfect kind of bright.

love me paris graffitti

And these cold days?
They seem to be slowly going away...
Or perhaps its just a little Valentine warmth.

Speaking of which...
I've been wanting to share them with you.
Don't you just love this Paris kind of red?
I hope they inspire a little of your love
in time for Valentine.
Have a wonderful colourful day!

On Walks and Wondering eyes

wood door and glass reflection

Hello! Hello!
How have you been?

I want to show you these streets, these wonderful streets,
that endlessly please my curious feet and my wondering eyes.

I've sat outside and walked through parks,
through market stalls and Autumn fairs,
through new streets and old ones too.
Filled baskets with freshly harvested veg
and handpicked what goes on our plate.

I've felt the changing weather,
and warmed my hands with flavoured coffees.
Tasted Indian sweets and sweet turkish pastry,
and ate delicate coconut macaroons.

I've glanced at beautiful strangers
and spent my days with the loveliest of people.

I hope you have too!
For it's all too precious and way too short!
