    • Richard, It’s true. Having people that fulfill us, makes life so much more beautiful, for it is nothing, if you have no one to share it with. Thank you and Good Luck

  3. It’s hard to know what to say about this year being beautiful, because no one thing happens without another; I like what you say about feeling fortunate for the new things you have learnt. I am grateful for those too! That I continue to learn is the greatest thing maybe. 🙂

    • Ines, it seems you have uncovered beauty itself. I feel if you have these things, everything else just seems to fall naturally into place.Good Luck

      • You’re right Stella! That’s also one of the things I like about your illustrations… there is a simplicity about them that makes them really beautiful.

  6. Hi Stella…it’s been awhile since I visited…seems I’m always trying to catch-up with commenting on my community’s blogs. Love your ‘Santa’ idea…I’m not eligible because I have chosen to leave FB, however, still want to participate: My year has been special because I am still alive and whole and able to create, because I have loved and have been loved, because my sons are safe, sane and healthy and because I am privileged to have a roof over my head, food in my belly and the ability to help those that don’t.
Enjoy your Brit winter, whatever it may bring…

    • Hi John. I’m always pleased when you visit… I like that you’re happy to be alive. That alone makes my everyday special. Thank you for your wonderful comment and helping me reflect on the simple things that make life so special.

  7. I brought my kids to visit my granny & papa for the summer, it had been too long since we had seen them! We made such new sweet family memories. Unexpectedly my granny passed away in September. Luckily I had an uneasy feeling about leaving so we were still here. While I stayed by her bedside and despite the pain and loss, it was such a privelage and honor to spend such a beautiful time. with her. It will always be a year etc hed in my heart.

This year I have worked on being grounded in the moment and enjoying the process of making things.
My daughter was married September 15, 2013. I decided that instead of trying to take on too many projects I would take on a few and put love into everything I did for the wedding. I made a surprise wedding video. I made a quilt. I made the wedding cake. I did each with purpose. I filled each project with love. I enjoyed the process of making each. It was so much fun and the results were amazing. The video was a hit! My daughter and her husband love the quilt, they can even feel the love that I filled it with! And the cake was delicious! I’ve had many requests for the recipe.
I’m not saying any of this to brag about what a great job I did, it isn’t about that at all. It was the intention of love and care that went into each project that made them special.
I learned that it is important to enjoy the process of creating a few meaningful things instead of taking on too much and it being work and NOT fun. The results are amazing when you craft with intention.
