On chili, ice cream and wishing for a farm

This weekend was great.
I saw friends,
I ate good food and laughed out loud.
I sipped tea while we walked.
Had frozen raspberry yoghurt and lemon meringue on cones,
sampled pies, sausages and cheeses from artisan's stalls and farmer's shops.

Dog or teddy

Hoped for a pig as a pet, then wondered if I could cope with a kid,
possibly a dog, or two and maybe some birds.
If only I lived in a farm, I'd get some chickens too.
I'd justify why we needed goats, to make cheese of course!
All because Totally Alive brought it's chickens and hens to Parker's Piece.

We then got spiced up at a Chilli Fiesta,
and sat on hill tops in Mansion house's gardens.
There was music and laughter,
talk of foraged edible possibly poisonous, mushroom.

We later cheered for a goal,
and gosh we got two.
It was a good weekend,
good enough to hope for another.
How was your weekend?
